Senior Commander Ahmad David, Director of Narcotics Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, confirmed the probe. "We are investigating it. We take action against all illegal drug trafficking," he said on Tuesday.
Based on police reports, authorities have maintained an aggressive stance against illegal pharmaceuticals throughout 2026. Official figures show Polda Metro Jaya and precinct offices have seized 53.7 million dangerous drug pills and arrested 681 suspects this year.
The police urged the public to report any information regarding illicit drug distribution, promising swift action against offenders to ensure public safety in Jakarta.
