He noted that if any party feels aggrieved regarding the event or the initial mediation process, officers will follow standard legal procedures upon receiving a report.
The dispute began when the luxury minivan ran a red light at the landmark intersection. Based on statement from the police, the driver received an electronic traffic ticket for the violation.
Tensions escalated when the security guard on duty confronted the motorist by banging on the car window. The driver reacted aggressively to the gesture, sparking a heated verbal confrontation between the two men.
Both parties subsequently went to the Thamrin Police Post. Officers facilitated a mediation session where both sides initially agreed to shake hands and resolve the issue amicably.
Police now plan to re-examine the incident following social media claims from the driver, identified as Victor, who alleged he was forced to kneel in apology. Police Chief Braiel stated that officers will call both parties back for clarification to determine the actual facts surrounding the apology.
