A brutal stabbing spree that terrorized the residents of Tangerang City has come to an end following the arrest of the suspect. The man had reportedly carried out multiple random attacks across several locations over a span of three months.

Subscribe Sekarang →Social media footage captured the grim moments of the attacks. In one video, the suspect rode a motorcycle and suddenly stabbed a pedestrian in the Cibodas area of Tangerang. Other online reports indicated that similar random assaults occurred across the Karawaci area.
According to Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesman Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, the violent incidents took place repeatedly between May and July 2026. The authorities confirmed that several stabbings occurred within the Jatiuwung jurisdiction during this period.
Based on statement from the Chief of Metro Tangerang Kota Police, Senior Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari, the perpetrator has been successfully apprehended by the Jatiuwung Police. The suspect is currently undergoing intensive interrogation.
Investigating officers revealed that the suspect operated across five distinct locations. Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto specified the crime scenes as Jalan Rusa and Jalan Tampak Siring in Karawaci, Jalan Sawo and Jalan Bawang in Cibodasari, and Jalan Singkarak in Kelapa Dua.
According to Jatiuwung Police Chief Commissioner Kresna Ajie Perkasa, five victims have been identified so far. Four of the injured individuals are currently recovering from their wounds, while one victim remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
The critically injured victim was attacked on Jalan Mataram in Bencongan, Kelapa Dua. Due to the location, the specific case falls under the jurisdiction of the South Tangerang Police, who are coordinating closely with the main investigative team.
The authorities suspect that the perpetrator suffers from a severe psychological condition. Family members informed investigators that the man had been difficult to communicate with for the past six years, prompting the police to transfer him to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta for a psychiatric evaluation.
The exact motive behind the violent rampage remains unknown. Police officials stated that they are waiting for the final medical assessment from the team of doctors before concluding their investigation into the suspect's psychological state.
