The suspect frequently acted like a local tough, sometimes demanding money or goods from residents. Based on police reports, the local community grew increasingly angered by his repeated disruptions before law enforcement finally intervened.
"Sometimes he did that, extorting people, and eventually, the community grew resentful. Fortunately, he has been identified and secured. We are now awaiting the results of the legal process," Santosa stated, adding that investigators are still determining whether the suspect was under the influence of alcohol during the acts.
The police revealed that the suspect carried out his threats twice in a single night. The first incident occurred on Monday at approximately 12:35 AM local time at a traditional herbal medicine shop, where the youth used his machete to intimidate a victim.
Nearly over three hours later, the youth struck again. According to police records, he targeted a grocery store in Puspanegara Village at 3:55 AM, brandishing his weapon at the shopkeeper. Following initial interrogation, the suspect admitted to both confrontations, and the investigation remains ongoing.
