They cited constant noise and severe disruption coming from the road outside their original quarters and a nearby construction site. The team had been staying at the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale before moving to a new location closer to the stadium grounds.
Based on a statement from a team representative to Fox News Digital, the process of changing hotels was not ideal, but the squad wanted to take swift action. "It is brutal having to move, but we are satisfied with the new place and everyone is happy now," the representative stated, noting that the entire support staff managed the transition within two and a half hours after FIFA granted approval for the move.
The financial arrangements for the sudden relocation required cooperation between multiple soccer organizations. The Independent reported that FIFA agreed to cover the costs for 50 rooms and security at the new facility, while the Norwegian Football Association took responsibility for any additional charges incurred from the last-minute change.
Norway advanced to this historic stage largely on the strength of star forward Erling Haaland, who secured two critical second-half goals to defeat Brazil in the Round of 16. This tournament marks only the fourth time Norway has qualified for the World Cup, and their first appearance since 1998, igniting immense pride across their home nation.
