A drone carrying a toy grenade landed at the home of a lawyer named Novianus Martin Bau in Depok, West Java. The regional police deployed a Gegana bomb squad to the scene. The specialists examined the object and confirmed it was not an explosive device.

According to Depok Criminal Investigation Chief AKBP Made Gede Oka Utama, the squad verified the item was merely a toy shaped like a grenade. He stated on Tuesday that the homeowner had previously received threatening text messages via WhatsApp before the drone arrived at his property.

The authorities have questioned three witnesses so far. The police are diving deeper into the background of the intimidation. Made noted that the victim suspected the terror stemmed from a recent disagreement with certain individuals, a claim investigators are now working to verify.

Based on statements from the lawyer, the incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Bojongsari district of Depok. Martin heard something crash into his front yard. He went outside and discovered a bound drone.

Attached to the aircraft was a replica grenade and a written note. The paper bore a short message stating that this was only the beginning. Martin immediately called the police, prompting the arrival of the bomb squad to evacuate the device.

Following the inspection, Martin filed an official police report. He believes the threat is directly tied to an active land dispute he handles in West Jakarta. The conflict involves a plot of land currently occupied by a building known as HD Arjuna.

Martin acts as the legal counsel for the rightful heirs to the property. He also serves as the Head of the Legal Division for the central board of GRIB Jaya. He explained that unidentified individuals had sent him messages warning him to withdraw from the case entirely.
