The Spanish giants must sell either Eduardo Camavinga or Aurelien Tchouameni to accommodate new signings. With Tchouameni expected to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu, speculation mounted that Camavinga could leave in a deal worth 50 million euros. Manchester United and Liverpool both held talks with the player's representatives regarding a potential move.

The Frenchman previously considered a new adventure away from the Spanish capital. However, football journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the player now wants to reignite his career in Madrid. Romano stated on YouTube that Manchester United have not started official negotiations because the player intends to stay and fight for his place.

Based on Romano's update, any club-to-club negotiation remains pointless until the player gives the green light. Camavinga desires to be an important part of the Real Madrid project next season. This stance complicates the English club's pursuit of the midfielder.

Manchester United have already strengthened their midfield by signing Andrey Santos from Chelsea for 50 million pounds and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa for 35 million pounds. Romano confirmed that United still want a third midfielder, identifying Camavinga and Roma's Manu Kone as primary targets.

The English club seeks a physical defensive midfielder who can provide intensity and running power. While internal meetings at Old Trafford highlighted Camavinga as an ideal candidate, the deal depends entirely on the player changing his mind. Meanwhile, United are also considering a 40 million pound move for a Fulham star.
