KPK Leadership Leads by Example in National Competency Assessments

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is intensifying its graft prevention strategy by upgrading human resource qualifications to meet rigorous national standards. The initiative commenced with an inaugural witness competency test for the anti-corruption sector certification scheme, held at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center (ACLC) in South Jakarta. This program ensures that local anti-corruption frameworks remain aligned with evolving national professional benchmarks.

During the assessment, KPK Deputy Chairman Ibnu Basuki Widodo participated directly as an exam candidate to promote institutional accountability. Widodo emphasized that combating corruption requires more than strict enforcement; it relies heavily on measurable integrity and professional expertise. He noted that standardized benchmarks must apply universally across the organization, including to top executives who bear the responsibility of leading by example.

The 2026 certification guidelines and competency test materials have been updated to address shifting dynamics within the anti-corruption landscape, according to Wawan Wardiana, Chairman of the KPK Professional Certification Liaison Board. Meanwhile, Yonathan Demme Tangdilintin, the Director of Anti-Corruption Education and Training at the ACLC, highlighted that continuous learning is vital for building a resilient public sector that can adapt to modern compliance challenges.

National Professional Certification Board (BNSP) Chairman Syamsi Hari lauded the anti-graft agency for consistently auditing and modernizing its professional qualification metrics. The BNSP plans to deepen its collaboration with the KPK to scale this certification framework across other government ministries and private sectors, aiming to establish a standardized culture of transparency throughout Indonesia's broader economic infrastructure.
