Latumenten Flyover Reaches 55 Percent Completion with December Deadline
Following the scheduled completion of the Latumenten Flyover by late 2026, the Jakarta Provincial Government has initiated feasibility studies for new elevated roadways in high-traffic zones. Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that while several critical locations have been earmarked for future development, the ultimate priority ranking will depend heavily on comprehensive field evaluations of each district's immediate needs.
The ongoing Latumenten Flyover project, valued at Rp259 billion, has successfully reached 55.2 percent completion and is officially targeted to open by December 15, 2026. This dual-direction infrastructure features a 435-meter span toward Slipi and a 420-meter stretch toward Grogol, with both sections spanning 11 meters wide to support two general traffic lanes alongside a dedicated TransJakarta busway lane.

Governor Pramono noted that the Latumenten corridor was heavily prioritized due to its status as one of the capital's most severe bottlenecks, suffering from gridlock during peak hours. "When the proposal for the Latumenten Flyover reached my desk, I insisted it become our primary focus to unravel chronic congestion tying up Grogol, Pluit, and Slipi," Pramono stated during his review on Friday.
With roughly five months remaining on the current construction timeline, public works crews are executing simultaneous acceleration strategies to ensure the structure meets its operational launch before the new year. City planners are concurrently reviewing railroad level crossings near the proposed Pejompongan and Bintaro sites, aiming to integrate the upcoming flyovers with broader railway safety regulations.
