Securing Long-Term LNG Supplies for Vietnam's Rising Energy Demand
The landmark agreement follows the successful conclusion of PV GAS's first term procurement package initiated in late 2025. This deal represents the first time a mid-term LNG supply contract has been secured for the Vietnamese market, positioning PV GAS as the nation's pioneer in adopting international standards for long-term fuel negotiations.
Shell Eastern LNG was selected as the supplier through a highly competitive international bidding process that drew interest from the world's top energy conglomerates. This follows Shell's delivery of Vietnam's inaugural commissioning LNG cargo for the Thi Vai LNG Terminal back in July 2023, which officially kicked off the country's LNG import era.
