According to the Chief of the Jakarta Public Order Agency, Satriadi Gunawan, an officer suspected of extorting a learning center in Cilincing, North Jakarta, has a long history of misconduct. Gunawan stated on Monday that the individual committed these actions while facing significant personal debt, describing the officer as someone whose expenses consistently exceeded his income.

Gunawan noted that the officer had caused similar disruptions in various areas across the city prior to the current investigation.
Based on reports from the agency, authorities have initiated the process to temporarily suspend the suspect's salary while formal investigations continue. Gunawan emphasized that the administration must follow strict civil service protocols to ensure the legality of any subsequent disciplinary actions.
The suspect faces severe disciplinary sanctions, which could range from official suspension to outright termination from the force. Investigators from the civil service police unit are currently compiling the official case file to determine the final punishment.
