The Jakarta Provincial Government earned prestigious recognition at the 2026 Warta Kota Awards for its leadership in strengthening the festive economy and urban financial growth. The accolade celebrates the city's strategic utilization of cultural festivals, public spaces, and creative industries to foster sustainable local economic resilience.
The award presentation took place at the Kompas TV Studio in Central Jakarta on Monday, marking the 27th anniversary of the Warta Kota media outlet. Sigit Wijatmoko, the Assistant for Government Affairs of the Jakarta Regional Secretariat, accepted the honor on behalf of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.

"This recognition serves as an incredible motivation for us to continue delivering high-quality public services and innovative economic solutions," Wijatmoko stated during the ceremony. He noted that Jakarta's development trajectory has shifted from physical infrastructure toward empowering the service and creative sectors.
As the city approaches its fifth centenary in 2027, the administration plans to scale up year-round cultural, arts, and sports events to stimulate micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Upgraded public landmarks like the Bundaran HI area will serve as vital community hubs designed to attract global investments and boost regional tourism.
