International police agency Interpol has identified 39-year-old Anastasiia Berezovska as the primary suspect in a high-profile explosive attack in Monaco. The international warrant, issued on Friday, accuses Berezovska of attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, and deploying an explosive device in a public space following a blast that injured three people at a luxury apartment building entrance.

Monaco authorities revealed that the targeted victims include Ukrainian construction tycoon Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner, and his son. Yermolaiev, who renounced his Ukrainian citizenship a decade ago, was previously sanctioned by Kyiv in 2023 due to his alleged commercial ties with Russia. While his partner remains in critical condition, the remote-controlled device also wounded two bystander 'collateral victims.'

Monaco Deputy Prosecutor Morgan Raymond stated that CCTV analysis and witness testimony exposed the suspect's elaborate disguise, showing she initially posed as a heavily built man wearing a black bucket hat. Forensic teams in France are currently analyzing the remnants of the device, as investigators note the operation's technical complexity heavily implies the involvement of broader networks or state-backed accomplices.

Federal police in Germany have joined the manhunt, raiding a rented apartment and vehicle linked to Berezovska, though the suspect remains at large. This security breach has deeply unsettled the wealthy principality of Monaco, occurring amidst an unprecedented rise in cross-border targeted operations throughout Europe linked to the ongoing fallout of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
