Thirteen years after losing his mother, veteran entertainer Thomas Djorghi admits that the pain of her absence remains deeply woven into his daily life. The senior dangdut singer and actor recently shared how he maintains a strong emotional connection to his late parents through consistent rituals of remembrance and prayer.
Speaking at a television studio in Mampang, South Jakarta, on Friday, Djorghi revealed that he makes a strict point of visiting his parents' graves at least once a month. This routine becomes even more paramount during significant milestones, including birth anniversaries and the specific dates of their passing in February and June.

"When the exact anniversary of my mother"s passing arrived, just like with my father's anniversary, I knew I had to be there at the graveside,' Djorghi stated during his appearance. He emphasized that showing up for his parents, even years after their deaths, remains a non-negotiable priority for his own emotional well-being.
The actor also candidly discussed the intense longing and residual regrets that haunted him during the initial years of his bereavement. He noted that a turning point in his mental health came after a vivid dream where his mother appeared happy, which finally provided him with the closure and spiritual comfort he had been seeking.
